Daimyo – Lords of the war in Japan

As part of a partnership with the Palais de Tokyo, the Guimet Museum hosts an exceptional exhibition of 33 armor belonging to the Daimyos.

The Daimyos were governors who reigned in Japan between the twelfth and nineteenth centuries.

These armor are presented at the 4th floor rotunda of the Guimet Museum as well as at the Palais de Tokyo and the Heidelbach Hotel. This exhibition also includes fabulous ornaments, textiles, helmets and weapons that are presented for the first time.

The Guimet Museum and the Palais de Tokyo are located a few minutes walk from our hotel Pastel Paris where we invite you to come and stay to fully enjoy this exhibition … and all the monuments of our City of Lights.
